why doesn't your doctor know about natural medicine?

This is a great question.

Why can't your physician help you heal naturally with holistic methodology?

To answer the question...

Physicians are heavily indoctrinated against any outside holistic influences, generally speaking.

Their training is to a degree, somewhat militarized (or dogmatic).

This is why their approach is focused almost entirely on treating symptoms versus targeting root causes.

However, it's great for emergencies when we require acute care!

That's where conventional medicine excels beyond holistic healing, although a combination approach is always ideal!

And while I respect the incredible mapping of symptoms and disease classification of conventional medicine, it is according to John Hopkin's Univerisity, the 3rd leading cause of death in the United States, and suspected worldwide.

This is due to medical error and iatrogenic disease, or illness that is actually caused by medical care.

In fact, there's an entire book about the failure of accountability in conventional medicine called Unaccountable which you can read about here.

It's unfortunate, really.

Did you know that physicians have the highest suicide rates of any profession?

I believe med school curriculum and professional dictates need to be reexamined and reformulated to reduce this risk.

In the past, physicians in residency would work up to 120 hours per week, that is until more recently when the maximum workweek was restricted to cap out at 80 hours, although I've heard this limit is frequently breached.

These issues create the impossibility of work-life balance for the physician. They are unable to self-care, spend time with family, or enjoy proper rest working 80 hours per week and sleeping at the hospital.

Sadly, natural medicine is shunned and rejected, even though it has helped so many people and even though there is so much clinical evidence in support of it.

However, many physicians, nurses, and other licensed medical professionals are becoming disenchanted with the conventional medicine model.

These individuals are adding coaching and some are even giving up their license to practice as holistic consultants.

The closes you can get to an open-minded, holistic physician is finding one who practices functional medicine.

However, their practice is still a bit narrower than that of a certified holistic health professional.

I personally would only work with a functional medicine doctor, an osteopath, and a holistic health professional.

Unfortunately, physicians who are practicing solely conventional medicine are often not up to date on cutting-edge trends in evidence-based medicine.

Nor do they know much about advanced holistic nutrition, which is critical for disease prevention and reversal.
